ABOUT SCHOOL OF THE TIGER

Kyokushin karate was founded by Mas Oyama in 1964. The meaning behind the name is "the ultimate truth," focusing on strength, knowledge, and wisdom. Kyokushin is Japanese for "the ultimate truth."

Shihan Jack Raderchak (6th Dan Kyokushin; 2nd Dan Aiki Jujitsu) started teaching in 1985 in Elk Grove Parks and Recreation, now known as Cosumnes Service District. He trained under Hanshi Don Buck and Professor Raymond "Duke" Moore.

In May 2019, Shihan announced his retirement and also announced that School of the Tiger will continue to be ran under Sensei Britni Alford-Parker (3rd Dan Kyokushin; 1st Dan Aiki Jujitsu).
