Sensei Clay Quint

Ous!!! I am Sensei Clay Quint, 2nd Dan Black Belt KKA, and this is how it all started...

In 1993, I worked as a Correctional Officer. During that time I was involved in a "use of force" situation and I wasn't prepared, nor trained, to deal with that. I knew I need help. I went to Shihan Raderchack and began training in the art of Kyokushinkai Karate. Under Shihan Raderchack tutelage, I became a Shodan in 1998 and a Nidan in 2004. Along the way, I trained in the art of Zen Budokai Jujitsu, and became a Black Belt in the art in 2000. My training gave me the self confidence and the tools I needed. I have, on several occasions, utilized my knowledge in the art while performing my job duty.

From the very first day, I was welcomed in the Kyokushin Family. It feels good to be a part of something bigger than just my little world. The friends I've made in the organization are forever.

I never got into Martial Arts with the intent of teaching. As I grew into the art, so my outlook. Teaching others has helped me to become a better martial artist. I am looking to become a better instructor, and with the help of Shihan Raderchack, I know it will come.

I am a Police Officer now, with 9 years left to retirement. I am at a juncture in my life, where my kids and wife, as well as the time I spend with them, are the most important things to me. My wife is a Shodan (Sensei Bea Quint) and my kids are Green Belts. We are the truly Kyokushin family.

When you enter into Martial Arts, whether it be Karate or another style, do it for the right reasons. Look into yourself and find out what you want to gain from the art, and then just go for it!
