Hello! My name is Jorge Alvarado aka (Mr. Alvarado) and I am 17 years-old.  I started practicing Karate when I was 8 years-old, and although I have never thought about quitting, it was very hard for me to continue practicing when I was dealing with Asthma.

It might be because of the the great sense of duty I acquired through Karate or even for how it helped me in terms of striving for self improvement, but Karate become a part of who I am now. Within the Tiger's Family, I just feel that I fit in. After years of practicing and knowing everyone, I consider myself to be one of the older kids in the family.

 

By teaching Karate to others, I have founded out that helping teaching students is like teaching ourselves, as it is always something to learn or improve. I am a senior in High School with plans to attend Community College for two years and then transfer to a Graphic Design School afterwards. I have a very supportive family, two dogs and the most unusual thing I can think about myself is that I used to collect rocks. 

 

 For fun, I like to draw, do clay sculpting, practice animation, and study cartoon history. For the ones who are just starting the journey, I would like to say that this path is a long one, and it is up to you to decide if you will excel or stay as you are.
